It's great to hear your upcoming focus on AI regulation and fake news. China is moving fast on this, releasing regulation of deepfakes (which they call ‘deep synthesis’) earlier this year that requires providers to show clearly when an image has been altered. While we should undoubtedly be concerned at the impact of deepfakes and AI tech on democracy, we should also consider how other countries - especially China - are handling them.
